Thom Browne menswear fall/winter 2012

New York designer Thom Browne invites the audience to observe well dressed, pump up, manufactured muscle bound models taking on Frankenstein appearance parade down the catwalk to music that at times was created by Tim Burton for one of his offbeat films. Striking clothes even with some of the models wearing a gimp like mask the edginess, mixed with well-tailored clothing. Even the setting takes you away to a mystical place. Maybe Thom focus was for the audience to ask questions, about who was the protagonist that he used for the inspiration behind the show.

Where the audience swinging between the unknown, and Thom Browne interpretation of how he see fashion. Or was more about the theatrics of the show that either the audience where amazed by or scratching their little minds. Either way to me it was brilliant and to introduce power shoulders in clothing genius I say.

About thematerialsleuth

I work in the digital industry and this blog is an outlet for things that I admire whether its design, interior, graphic, fashion, styling, industrial, architecture, art, illustration, music or other bloggers etc. I constantly search for different artists who do not grab the media attention or have high profiles brand ambassadors pushing their products.
