Jamie Hayon

Jaime Hayon Spanish artist-designer Jaime Hayon was born in Madrid in 1974. As a teenager, he submerged himself in skateboard culture and graffiti art, the foundation of the detailed, bold-yet-whimsical imagery so imminent in his work today. After studying industrial design in Madrid and Paris he joined Fabrica in 1997, the Benetton-funded design and communication academy, working closely with the legendary image-maker and agitator Oliverio Toscani.

What I admire about Jamie Hayon it looks like he just doesn’t give a F%#K, he runs against the norm and challenges no body but himself. Slightly mad maybe but, do you think he will take the time to pause and disgust what you people think of him. He is too busy moving on to the next project – I enjoy his work and what he produces no boundaries just working on whim to be a creative designer.

About thematerialsleuth

I work in the digital industry and this blog is an outlet for things that I admire whether its design, interior, graphic, fashion, styling, industrial, architecture, art, illustration, music or other bloggers etc. I constantly search for different artists who do not grab the media attention or have high profiles brand ambassadors pushing their products.
