Lapo Elkann

Lapo Eduard Elkann is a New York-born Italian industrialist, former marketing manager. He is currently the manager of brand promotion at Fiat Automobiles an heir to the automaker Fiat. Lapo is a fashion guy, he’s often seen at fashion events around the world. Perhaps he inherited his grandfather’s sense of style.

Ferrari new service is called Ferrari Tailor-Made, and it’s available in special worldwide ateliers, including one in an annexe of London’s Berkeley hotel. Elkann, will be working closely with his friend Flavio Manzoni, Ferrari’s design director, on tailoring the cars, memorabilia and other sympathetic extensions to the Ferrari brand.

It comes hot on the heels of a deal he did with Gucci’s Frida Giannini for a special edition of the Fiat 500, the sort of high-octane brand collusion that doesn’t happen every day, and certainly would have been beyond Fiat a few years ago.

About thematerialsleuth

I work in the digital industry and this blog is an outlet for things that I admire whether its design, interior, graphic, fashion, styling, industrial, architecture, art, illustration, music or other bloggers etc. I constantly search for different artists who do not grab the media attention or have high profiles brand ambassadors pushing their products.
