Francis Leon

The story

Francis Leon is the lass with the wink in her eye and her tongue pressed firmly in cheek. Founded in Brisbane in 2009, the label is supported by a motley collection of young creatives.

With a flair for construction and an eye for detail, the Francis Leon look stems from the ethos that fashion can be considered yet casually effortless. Just as our dream fellow would wear his top hat and tails to play frisbee, Francis Leon is about wearing your most loved ensemble everyday.

Each collection

follows the edgy yet softly sophisticated Francis Leon signature. Natural fabrics – such as silks, linens and leathers – are masterfully tailored with a modern streetwear influence. A Francis Leon garment is designed to be a perfect fit and a favourite supporting character in your life.

Behind the good looks is also a great personality. The label is designed and produced locally in Australia, ensuring both the highest quality and a clear sartorial conscience.

Through partnership with London-based fashion agency Paper Mache Tiger, however, Francis Leon would be stocked not only at Harvey Nicols London but also boutiques throughout Hong Kong, Zurich and Edinburgh for the winter 2012 season, said designer Jo Turner.

About thematerialsleuth

I work in the digital industry and this blog is an outlet for things that I admire whether its design, interior, graphic, fashion, styling, industrial, architecture, art, illustration, music or other bloggers etc. I constantly search for different artists who do not grab the media attention or have high profiles brand ambassadors pushing their products.
