collection Spring | Summer 2013

This season’s Viktor & Rolf girl, her fantasy wardrobe comprised of flowing monochrome pleats and belts of shards of mosaic glass, her hair Rapunzelesque.

“We were thinking about clean glamour and thought of mirrors,” explained the duo Viktor Horsting and Rolf Snoeren backstage after the show and down and around that mirrored staircase upon which the models had made their entrance.

“There was a black, very graphic section and then there were soft flesh tones,” they continued, noting the importance of this dreamy-versus-sharp juxtaposition, something which they are very good at consistently doing.

About thematerialsleuth

I work in the digital industry and this blog is an outlet for things that I admire whether its design, interior, graphic, fashion, styling, industrial, architecture, art, illustration, music or other bloggers etc. I constantly search for different artists who do not grab the media attention or have high profiles brand ambassadors pushing their products.
